In the article “Body Painting” published Photographic Society of America, author Ayman Lofty explains how body painting is the oldest in most cultures, people share memory’s and record their story’s known as; a symbol or an image. What they really liked was they recorded on their own bodies. The history of body art started way back when. From cultures around the world started to do this like paint their face and bodies, but they also celebrated different events in life. Photography is a very rich subject in creative shooting. It decorates the bodies, faces, different cultures, behaviors, and living style. Body painting has changed from decorative or celebrative to a creative photographer. Having a new dialogue incorporates different elements. Photography is thought about as a documentary skill “the main obstacle” in merging the two arts. The painters do not understand photography they think it is just a tool for recording events, but there lack of perception of the center attraction exposure such as, framing and lighting angles. They say that most of the photographers of all over the world understand each other’s work and speak their own language. For the new art, modern body painting has reduced the gap between painting and photography. The people need to know that photography is a type of line in art. In the case of photography the viewers who love painting have become interested in photography. The lighting must be adjusted to achieve its final presentation and must have a good atmosphere. The mood and the outcome of the shoot; music is permitted to set the tone. As a result of body painting and photography the effort in the Egyptian Minster presented the nations of the world. For exhibition, portraits, full body art, cultures and style the result of the fourteen portraits exhibited is on display at the New Cairo Airport Terminal #3 in Egypt.
Article: Make up Blog #5

I in fact like reading this article. It had some very interesting facts about Egypt on how the body painting and the photography came together. I thought that it was vary similar to the something but when I kept reading on I saw that it said there is different lighting of both photography and body panting which I thought was true and it is very hard to combine the two together. Such as a tattoo you can copy the picture but is it going to look the same yes and now because the lighting might be a little uneven or even the atmosphere will be different. I know a lot of people who do have tattoos represent something or someone so the symbol has a special meaning. I could have other meaning like NO fat food on someone meaning they need to eat or have healthier foods in them. What I also thought was very cool was they put all of the photography and body art painting into an Airport museum

In the article “The Children Will Keep Coming” published in Nation Company, author Oscar Martinez talks about how there was this gang who killed a 11 year old boy for not joining there gang because he did not want to be a member of the ranks. Although the gang members request children at young ages because they are more likely to get away from the police. Every day in El Salvador 7 to 8 people are killed by gang members. About 38 percent of the murders in the country every year are from ages 15 and 24. Most of the families pay the gang members to say in an apartment, that they have taken over. A the youngest that the gangs have recruited children are form ages 8 and 9 years old. The gang known as (El Salvador as Barrio 18). Most of the kids who are in school have to be searched by the police before entering a class room. These three boys who want to leave El Salvador to come to the United States right after seeing their mom shot and killed by the gangs. They feel the safest place to be is in the United States. Most kids flee their homes because of the violence in there city to come to the US hopeing to have a better life. But some of the migrants went over to join gangs in California. Canto 14 the newer gang in Southern California. In the US we offer jobs to lower educate people over 5,000 jobs in the US. This one man whose name is Jose is really good at getting people over the border and is coasting each person to pay $7,500 per person. He also made a book about it. If a mother or father sees their children coming to the US and more and more until you have as much as 52,000 coming over and the government sees a pattern over and over, they will boot you back home. Even though family who do try and get there children out of El Salvador they won’t stop trying until their children are safe.
 Article

When I read this article I thought it was more interesting than I thought it would be. Even though I had no idea they used children at 8 to 9 of age to get away with things. I know from watching cops and gangs on True TV that they talk about things like this, but mostly only gangs. That’s when I heard the voice from TV talking in my head about this kind of involvement in Mexico and the United States. I was shocked that a gang or gangs can take over a city I would think the police would have done something to prevent this but I guess they have more things to worry about. I can definitely understand why children want to leave and come over to the United States rather live in El Salvador. What I thought was crazy nuts and cool at the same time is that this guy Jose helps kids and whoever to cross over the border and make it to the US and has a published book about it too that’s awesome! I knew a guy from school who was born in California but his mom and dad didn’t have their green card. They came over illegal and when I was in 11th grade his mom and dad got deported and can’t come back over to the United States so that really sucks.

In the article “Asians balk at Japanese corporate culture” published in The Christian Science Monitor, author Edith Terry talks about how Japanese are being cooped buy the locals business. The United States concerns are that japan might lock out the networks in Southeast Asia. Which is where a lot of high levels of Japanese investments It said it might “Japanize” the region. Japanese are having more labor trouble then china. Japanese and the Chinese think the same way about business.  A lot of the successful Japanese ventures in China are managed by companies in Hong Kong. Stickily they say that Japanese’s companies see China as Asia’s the most on top market and it is the large pool of cheap labor. In the year of 1994 Japanese investment in China 63% in only 6 months from April to September to make $1.14 Billion dollars. It exceeded in the investment in Britain and equaled one third of all Japanese Investment in the same period for Asia.
Article

When I first read this I thought it was hard to read and understand since it had a bunch of Japanese people trying to tell the story. So I got played the listen button and it made it easier to understand what they were talking about. What I thought was interesting was they worked with china and other countries. I’m guessing that’s why on most of our product says made in China. I do realize that companies buy the item cheap so when they fix anything up and sell it for more to make profit too. I didn’t think this article was bad it was just alright. Let me know how you feel about this article, leave a comment!

In the article “Rebel Brides and Ex-Wives.” Published in Newsweek (pacific Edition) author Jason Overdorf talk about how this 19 year old girl came home from Hyderabad from Delhi to go to her family funeral. Her father Chiranjeevi is a megastar in the Telugu language film industry. Her father friend was disowned for eloping with Shirish Bhardwaj 23 and the two got married on live television last October. Apparently there TV wedding alerted police and a mob of angry fans who trailed the couple from the temple. They told her to dump the guy so she could marry a groom of their parents choosing.  They do match making across India online and more and more people keep using the internet so it is becoming more and more easyer to find a man or woman to go and get married.
Article

I did not like this article at all. It was so confusing for me to understand what is going on. Even though I have a good educated guess of what it is all about.  I have a good friend of mine who was an arranged marriage and they would skype for about a couple times. Then my friend flew to India to get married and he has not been on a date nor has he seen her in person intel the day of the wedding. It also took him two years to bring her to the United States because she is from another country. Let me know what you thought about this article.

In the article “Refusing to be silent: One Rwandan genocide survivor tells her story to millions” published New York Amsterdam News, authors Murray, Ann Leslie talks about how Jacqueline Murkatete will never forget about her past. When she was nine years old her whole family mom, dad, brothers and sisters and her grandmother all killed in 1994 Rwandan genocide. Once she left Africa she relocated to the United States to love with her uncle in Long Island. She said “Genocide is a global crime and is the worst crime to be killed” when she listened to a speech form a Polish Holocaust survivor back in high school (she was 16 at the time). She got inspired by that man. She felt like she had to tell her story of how they massacred her family. She is trying to get herself out there and talk to students, adults, politicians so it will be well known what it is really all about. She has won numerous awards like the “Global Peace and Tolerance honor from the United Nations. According to the article it says that early next year Jacqueline has a plan to build a community center in Kigali the capital of Rwanda. To help any survivors with the tools to the victimization to healing.
 Article

When I read this article I didn’t really understand what Genocide was really about. As I started to read more and more into the story I realized that it was worse than I thought.  She watched her whole family die I was mind blown. If that was me I’m not sure what I would do either run away. When I was older I would defiantly fight back. I thought it was a good idea to have her get her story out to the public to know this is a horrific crime and should be illegal around the whole world. What got my attention was she wanted to build a community center for people that have had a really bad past to help them out I thought that was cool.

In the article “TV Star’s Plastic-Surgery Disaster Tests Brazil” published Abstract, authors AP talks about how careful you want to be when you have plastic surgery done to you.  A single mom named Andressa Urach who’s nicknamed is Beanpole. Her surgery she had was a complete disaster, she had implants was on steroids had a nose job and was on gel injections. She said there is a bunch of other ugly women, if you have the money you can be beautiful too. The 27 year old went into septic shock and got placed on life support. Her wounds were still fresh and she started to bleed through their clothing. Latter on into the article she finds out that the doctor she had did not have a plastic surgery degree and that’s why her surgery is an utterly disaster. She started to have infections and was in the hospital for six months. Urach said “no one tells you about the problem it causes you only the good things”. She agrees she has made a mistake.  As long as you’re happy and healthy you are fine the way you are.

Article

When I got done reading this article I wanted to know what she looked like and how bad it was. I looked up Andressa Urach and the first thing that popped up was her infections on how bad it really was. I know people want surgery to look better but is it really a Need or a Want, because it’s probably like 10k or more. I didn’t know it could lead to people not liking there surgery’s and just moving on with your life. Once I found out that someone faked being a surgeon I was like really? What do you get out of that screwing up someone’s life to just to make it funny and then have the police start coming after you, yeah that’s a good joke. The police still have no idea who it is but they will figure it out soon enough. Let me know what you guys think if I should add something in this article or take out anything. Leave me a comment below, thanks for reading!

In the article “Body Painting” published Photographic Society of America, author Ayman Lofty it talks about what started body painting on how it symbols who someone is or what a picture means to anyone. Instead of having a photo they would just draw on them self’s or a wall. Then didn’t have a pencil or an eraser back in the day when they were building pyramids it was a sign of creativity. They would also use paint for creativity, living styles, and behaviors. No matter whom someone is and if they don’t speak the same language everyone will and should understand what the painting and drawing is because you don’t need to read a picture just look at it and most people will understand. A painting or symbol represents of body art has meaning to that individual.
Article

I thought this article was alright. It didn’t say much about piercings like what that meant to someone. But I think whether body paint is on your leg, arm, chest, and stomach. You have it on there for a reason it can be any reason. I kind of figured that they would draw on the walls and on them self. When you think about it, it wouldn’t make much sense to have it on the ground when people are walking all over and I would be a mess. If its paint on you self you can wash it off no big deal. But if its ink then that is there for life, unless you have it surgery to remove it but that can be spendy and a lot of pain.

In the article “Borneo reaping the fruits of ecotourism” published by UNESCO Courier, author Robert Basiuk talks about how the Iban people rely on the rich and tourism for their survival. It takes place in Malaysian in the state of Sarawak. They have too good of resources to relies on they can only kill certain animals and cut down various trees. Without the tourism it would be hard to be making jobs and to have money. The village involved the tourism is a big benefit of their wildlife. They now have a study alternative and stocks have now been stabilized. In the year of 1999 over 20 families have received $82,000 in tourism pay. They have now added cooks boat drivers markets. They make a lot of money each year and they want to put the money towards more habitats for wildlife. They get over 1,000 people every year. It is now turning into a National Park. They say it’s not Jurassic Park

When I started to read this article I thought it wasn’t going to be so good. Letter as I started to read more and more I said this has got to be a fun place to visit! I thought it was really cool how they weren’t doing so well to this; I was like blown away how well they have been success. The only part I didn’t like about this was how they were living. They would have mud slides so they had their house up high. I was thinking couldn’t you just build a wall to stop the mud slide.  I like how they said at the end this is not Jurassic Park. Otherwise that would have been really cool. Over all I would recommend this article to anyone let me know how you feel or have any questions.

In the article “Destroying a Culture” Artical Cricket Media, Authors Bickford-Duane, Pauline describes how the United States government took nearly 100 years trying to figure out a way the Native Americans policy, to work out in the west. Once the government signing the treaties the Native American could no longer move freely threw out the land.  When the United States took over there land they wanted them to live like Americans. Children started to attend boarding schools to make them live in American society. The school administrator assigned the kids new names. They couldn’t speak their language or practicing their native traditions or even celebrating. They wanted to have those kids drop there culture and join the American culture.  In June 1934 the Native Americans reclaimed 2 million acres of land. They wanted to start a native group so they could receive money and for their land and education. So they could now take their children out of boarding schools.
When I read this article I didn’t really understand why they couldn’t trade to get land, not to take it away from people. What I thought was interesting was when the Americans to give the children new names. Like what?! Why wouldn’t you just have left their names as is? I must have been bad if I told the teacher I’m not changing my name. They don’t have that power over me unlike them did back in the days. I’m not sure if I could drop my language and culture to be more like something else when I’m not. If I was put in a boarding school back then I probably would have been hurt a lot but I would fight back and not do what they said just run away from school.

In the article “Law Enforcement Officers in Schools: An Analysis of Ethical Issues”   In the source Criminal Justice Ethics, Joseph McKenna and Joycelyn Pollock explains:

Article
When I read the article it talked about how we have tragic events happen on our Nations of violence on school grounds. They now have Police officers in schools to prevent violence to happen. The officers also play a big part in student discipline. The officer socialization and training that is part of a role in the officer’s duty to mentor students. They want to present some suggestions on how the officer may conflict and their experience of law Enforcement. About the officers working in schools.

I thought this article was interesting since I’m interested in Law Enforcement. But it was a little short.  I did know we have officers at High School and College. I just didn’t know we could or will have them at Elementary and Middle schools. I wouldn’t be surprise about any officers at school since there has been a lot of crime all over. When I was at a senior in high school. During lunch there was a big fight and the teachers ran over to stop it so they called the officer that was in my school and he dropped one of the guys to the ground. So I believe if there are not any officers at any High School it could get really bad. Let me know if I made you understand what was going on. If you have any questions wright they in the comment below and I will be sure to get back to them!

Haircut or Turbans?

In the article “ Haircuts or Turbans?”   In the New York Times, By Amelia Gentleman explains:

Jugraj Is a boy who had long hair growing up and part of their culture you had to wear this turban. He said he doesn’t like it on him. It would keep getting in the way of things and said “I feel smarter without it”. They have a rule, that they prohibited their members from cutting their hair because it’s supposed to be a symbol of Sikh pride. He was one who wanted to stand out and not look like everyone else.  Globalizations had a big impact on them. When September 11, 2001 happened they get mistaken for Taliban’s and harassed by the airport security guards. They then now want men to cut their own hair and to not have mom do it for them.

What I thought about reading this article was that it was very interesting to see what other cultures did around the world I did not know anything about Turbans tell now. If I was living over where they were born and raised and I had to wear a turban. I would but if I had to keep long hair and that on me I would probably get hot and would definitely cut my hair even though I would probably get looked at weird. Because no one cuts their hair, where there from. I do get that people at the airport would think there a Taliban because they wear those turban head wear thing too. Most people just assume what you are when they have never met you or don’t know anything about you.

In the article "One-Child Policy Is One Big Problem for China, " plublished in Newsweek, the author Susan Scott explains:

That the one child policy is that in china they can only have 1 child and that if they have a girl or a disable child they have to kill her or it. They want a boy to carry on the family’s name. Also to help his parents at old ages. When they know they have a baby girl on the way. They do an abortion. They run the child hard so they he gets a good job. So that he can pay for his family when his older. One study has proven that 14.7 percent of the unmarried men have paid for sex in the year of 2000 about double the rate for married men. They are more likely to be drivers of a growing market for female trafficking, woman from around the world. Even the nearby country’s like Vietnam, Laos, Singapore. Apparently there are more men on planet Earth then woman.

My responce: What I think about this is that. If I had a daughter and they wanted me to kill it. I would hide her and have a normal life but if she was old enough and they made me pay for it. I would go to jail then rather have them kill my child not happening. I just don’t agree with china’s rules, there is less girls in this world than men. So why would you kill a girl then. That just doesn’t make any sense. The sex slavery like really find a girl dude, swim across the river so do something then this horrible thing.
